Covering approximately 122 trail miles through one of the most remote sections of the OHT from Fort Douglas to Spring Creek (ONF) trailheads, this trail dissects Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area, circumvents Richland Creek Wilderness Area, and helps guide you through the Lower Buffalo Wilderness Bushwhack.
A majority of the trail in this region tends to follow along streams within the Big Piney, Richland Creek, and Buffalo River watersheds. The map can also guide you to recreational opportunities in Ozark National Forest’s Special Interest Areas like Alum Cove, Buzzard Roost, Dismal Creek, Pedestal Rocks, Sam’s Throne, and Stack Rock.
